- Our designs represent the diversity of layout and scripting options available, and in most cases are a blend of our ideas and the ideas of our clients. Our designs have changed considerably over the years in response to the transition from HTML to XHTML, the growth of Flash technology, and the benefits of Content Management Systems and current design trends utilizing jQuery scripting. XHTML Websites
Our designs have been fashioned almost exclusively with XHTML in response to the change in web standards from HTML, and most specifically XHTML's enhanced use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). XHTML is a great scripting language which provides an excellent framework for creating unique SEO optimized layouts that are tailored to our clients; and with the inclusion of PHP scripting, JavaScript/DHTML, Flash accents, and the recent addition of jQuery the ability to provide dynamic content has greatly improved.
CMS Websites
View Portfolio Samples »CMS (Content Management Systems) websites are built upon an advanced scripting framework, most often PHP or ASP. Content Management Systems have the ability to automate many of the dynamic scripting needs of clients, and is often used to provide the means for a site visitor to interact with the website; interactive features include blogs, forums, newsletters, polls, and password areas. CMS websites also utilize an administrative control panel that allows content additions/changes from any location that has internet access.
Flash Websites
Flash websites are (movie like) archives that utilize a frame-by-frame sequence (looped and/or event triggered) to animate and create effects with tweens and Action Scripting; it is important to note that Flash code cannot be read by the search engines so it is not recommended for most websites. If you are interested in Flash there are many quality templates available online. Note that we do not create Flash websites do to the time required and our concern about SEO, though we do create Flash headers and banners, and provide a variety of Flash effects for website inclusion.
Template Designs
Template designs can be an effective choice for clients who need a quick, and less customized development solution. Template layouts are especially useful for Gallery and CMS website developments. If you have purchased a template we can in most cases assist you with it, but it is important to note that older templates, especially Flash templates are often difficult to edit and typically have inherent limitations for editing beyond the navigation and structural layout provided. Newer Flash templates typically link to an XML file to provide an effective means for the editing and updating of content.
