Give Children Hope is a Sacramento-based charity providing food and living assistance to impoverished children in the Philippines. Their previous site had fallen behind in both content and visibility, and in 2017 we rebuilt it as a modern WordPress site following a review of comparable charity websites.
The redesign features a parallax image with text and button overlay, an image gallery, portfolio, and custom collage images, accordion FAQ toggles, and a masonry-styled blog. We provided a custom logo design, extensive content writing, and on-page SEO to restore and strengthen their online visibility; a sitemap was created and submitted to search engines. We also developed an XHTML website for the organization’s president, ophthalmologist H. Douglas Cooper, M.D., in 2013.
