Kauai Camper Rental provided camper van rentals and camping supplies on the island of Kauai. We developed their first website in 2010 as an XHTML design, followed by a supplemental jQuery mobile-only site a year later to serve mobile visitors. In 2018 we redeveloped the site as a fully responsive HTML5 design to take advantage of modern features and styling.
The custom design incorporates engaging imagery with traditional styling suited to the island setting. The site features a jQuery slideshow of Kauai photography, parallax image headers, rental van images with descriptions, a responsive equipment rental table, thumbnail and full image galleries with lightbox display, an embedded YouTube video, a van rental script integration, and contact forms with colored icons on both the contact page and within sidebar panels. We provided content writing, image optimization, and on-page SEO; we served as the hosting provider from 2010 through the site’s closure.
