Lifted from Darkness

Lifted from Darkness was created to showcase the book of a domestic violence survivor. This is the second website we developed for this author, following From Prisoner to President in 2012. We’ve also built six websites for the author’s businesses, including Synectic Technology (2005, 2008, 2012, 2020) and Killer VoIP (2011, 2013). The Lifted from Darkness site was first redeveloped in 2015, and then redesigned again in 2023 as an HTML website. In addition to development, we assisted with Facebook setup and continue to provide content updates as needed.

Feist Cabinets and Woodworks, Inc.

Feist Cabinets and Woodworks, Inc. is a family-owned business in Elk Grove that has provided custom cabinetry for Sacramento homes and businesses since 1987. We first created their XHTML website in 2008, updated it to a WordPress layout in 2011, and in 2017 redeveloped it again with modern styling and features. We maintained the site with content updates, CMS maintenance, and security monitoring through January 2025, when Barbara Feist sold the business. The new owners later redeveloped the site with another design company in June 2025 since we were unavailable.

Newport Beach Brew Boat

WordPress CMS

Newport Beach Brew Boat was one of two brew boat websites we created, the first being Sac Brew Boat. Developed in 2020 as a partner site, this custom WordPress build featured booking system integration and was supported with ongoing content updates, CMS maintenance, and security monitoring. In addition to this project, we also developed Sac Brew Bike, Sac Brew Boat, San Jose Brew Bike, Reno Brew Bike, Santa Rosa Brew Bike, and San Francisco Brew Bike. The Newport Beach business closed in 2024.

Lafitte Music Center

WordPress CMS

Lafitte Music Center provided private instruction and group classes for a variety of instruments. In 2019, we redeveloped their WordPress website to deliver a simpler, more dynamic appearance. Our work included content writing, hosting transfer with SSL setup, and SEO targeting. We maintained their site with content updates, CMS maintenance, and security monitoring until the business was sold in 2023, which ended our services our role as their web developer.

Pietro’s No. 2 Italian Restaurant

Pietro’s #2 is an owner-operated Italian restaurant in Vacaville that has served family-style Italian and American favorites since 1962. We redeveloped their website in 2012 with a custom XHTML design and mobile-only site, and again in 2016 with a modern HTML5 responsive layout. We supported Pietro’s #2 with website updates for over 10 years, until 2023 when they chose to transition to a templated platform recommended by the company that managed their social media.

Image Innovations

WordPress CMS

Image Innovation is a custom photography portfolio website for an award-winning Sacramento photographer. We first developed their site in 2003 (HTML3), redeveloped it in 2008 (XHTML), and again in 2015 to best showcase his images while supporting mobile users. Since 2003, we provided hosting along with content updates, CMS maintenance, and security monitoring. The site remained active until 2022, when the owner chose to close it due to his advanced age.
